Annika Blau, MSW Student

Social Work Intern

Annika is a second-year graduate student at Hunter’s Silberman School of Social Work. After her first-year placement at a High School in The Bronx, Annika wished to expand her repertoire and explore skills and competencies in working with older adults.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, taking a double major of English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Arizona. Although a native New Yorker, Annika has also lived for a time in Arizona, California, the UK, and France and over the course of her 25+ years in the workforce, has experience working in numerous industries including hospitality, travel, information technology, and healthcare. In her spare time, Annika enjoys spending time with family and friends, learning new crafts, playing billiards, reading about the world, and engaging with new people. She has energetically brought her work experience with multi-service organizations and working with multiple populations to her work supporting older adults and continues to expand her resource pool and knowledge of memory care. Annika has also been instrumental in creating the Renewal Memory Partners Resource Directory for New York City.
